2020 has brought about its fair share of problems for me and millions of others, to say the least. Recently, multiple medical scares have inspired me to rethink what I spend my time creating as an artist. I thought a lot about a character that could bring people together. One that all people could relate to. A inclusive character with compassion, empathy, and ingenuity. Introducing, Sam SLOTH.
Sam SLOTH Is not your average mammal. Sam is not lazy. Quite the opposite. Sam SLOTH is a world traveler and lover of all cultures and people. Sam loves adventure and meeting new people. Sam moves slower than some, but lives life at full speed by using his wits to DO MORE, BE MORE.
I aspired to use Sam SLOTH to heal my body and reinvigorate the child in all of us. I designed Sam with bright fun colors and an ironic sense of adventure. I have created a variety of designs on dozens of fun products for every age and budget. I am excited to take Sam on lots of adventures with people of all ages. There will be many more products to support Sam SLOTH and the SLOTH STYLE coming soon. With enough support I can bring SAM to life in illustrated books where Sam SLOTH can share his adventures with all of us. I am sure Sam will inspire us all to DO MORE and BE MORE. My wife and I both have underlining conditions that requires us to be extremely cautious during this pandemic. At first It seemed that it would all work out, but as time passed things financially steadily got worse for us. I am working from home and continue to create art in all of my free time. Where my wife worked they would not enforce safe practices and she had to take a leave of absence. We have been trying to survive in a household of 3 on only my income for several months now. I am always available to create custom art for my clients, but we are asking for donations as well since we are running out of options quickly. All the ways that you can help are below. Thank you.
